Week 5: Fried Chicken

This week, my partner and I have cooked fried chicken . This time, we cooked with our own recipe. Fried chicken is one of the most famous food and it is many people's favorite food.
Ingredients:
  • 5 wings of chicken
  • 500g of flour
  • 40 ml of onion oil
  • 1 L of vegetable oil 
  • Salt
It took about 3 hours to finish the whole process. The fried chicken was tasty as if professional made it. To improve, I should cook with specific flour for fried chicken available in any supermarket.


Week 4: Ice Cream

This week, my partner and I have made an ice cream  . We found the recipe from http://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-vanilla-ice-cream-221812#recipe. As we both liked ice cream, we were excited and happy to make them. 
Ingredients:
  • 4 large egg yolks2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 vanilla bean (split and scraped of seeds), or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
Equipment:
  • Mixing bowl
  • Strainer
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Medium saucepan
  • Spatula
  • Instant-read thermometer
  • Ice cream machine

The first ice cream tasted very nice that it can compete with ice cream of "Hargen Datz". However, the second time, our carelessness resulted in putting salt instead of sugar and the ice cream was salty in contrast to its appearance.
